I got the declaration of a queen 👸 A glorious scent of being la reine, you can seize a real deal from the table, already! The cheer tastes still great. Even repeating it could be an understatement.
I hope you would enjoy my version of Epiphany celebration.

Crown roast of lamb would be the very best idea on Epiphany, on every aspect, both my partner and I have no taste for leftover lamb though. That’s the reason I settled down to small batch friendly place.
At first, I felt sorry for that, still, that means there’s a good chance to go another way. I did put some effort in a presentation as the assignment of all components so that being a queen can serve a purpose with a good context.
A pairing of lamb and ras el hanout spice blend was a catch. Compared to chicken, it might be a bit heavy in many ways, definitely worth a try on Epiphany though. For sure, you could go duck to your liking. Choosing duck is one of the likely ideas that you can do it up in a nice way, on the condition of staying in a culinary sense of several cuisine with a good reference; the way you made a landing matters. You can go everywhere. French, Moroccan, Portuguese, by all means. With rice/couscous side dishes, both the flavor and presentation wise, it would be satisfying experience.
1. Tips for the roast lamb
(for two)
▶️700g French trimmed lamb rack
I chose lamb chops to reduce cooking time.
In case you take the whole type of lamb rack, it will be better to keep the rubbed lamb in the fridge overnight, at least.
▶️15 garlic cloves chopped
You could choose blended garlic cloves. I just opt for using all drippings for the saffron broccoli. Have your way.
▶️1 tsp. ground garlic
▶️2 tsp. dried rosemary
▶️1 tsp. Dijon whole grain mustard
▶️1/8 tsp. cooking oil
▶️1 tsp. coarse Kosher salt
▶️2 tsp. ground pepper
▶️5 tbsp. ras el hanout spice blend

  1. One of the best ras el hanout spice mix(for mild-sweet taste, a small batch)
    Use 1 tsp. for each – ground ginger, ground cardamom, ground anise mace(or same amount of pumpkin spice), ground cinnamon, ground allspice, ground coriander, ground cilantro and ground black pepper
    Use 1/2 tsp. for each – ground nutmeg, ground turmeric, ground cayenne pepper, ground anise seeds and ground clove
    ▶️3 tbsp. lemon juice
    Option – honey
    2. Tips for side dishes
    A combination of zippy salad and veggie roast would be a very nice idea for the roast lamb. Especially, no mayo coleslaw, roast Brussel sprouts and cauliflowers, it will be amazing.
    Tabbouleh without couscous will go very nicely.
    If you have some spare for a fresh approach to options for salad, you could try chicken carrot parsley mint salad. This is one of quite good medieval Syrian inspired recipes. It has been on the top of my rep list for a long time. Given a footing of the salad, it will mostly go well with other variation in this post.
    • For chicken carrot parsley mint salad
    ▶100g carrots coin cut boiled
    ▶250g roast chicken breast diced
    ▶2 to 3 handfuls of fresh parsley chopped
    ▶2+1/2 tbsp. dried mint
    ▶The dressing for salad marinade
    -2 tsp. red wine vinegar
    -4 tbsp. white wine vinegar
    -Few drops of olive oil
    -2 tsp. lemon juice
    -4 garlic cloves minced
    -2 tsp. whole caraway seeds
    -1/6 tsp. ground black pepper
    -1/6 tsp. ground coriander
    -1/3 tsp. ground cinnamon
    Option – dried barberries for a topping
    A combination of dried golden berries and cranberries will work nicely.
    Soft, sweet yet never mushy carrots would be great as a component. Before mingle all ingredients collectively, you will fully cool them off.
    A light version of gremolata base will be great for a topping and garish. Originally, gremolata sauce, as a base of Osso Buco, is bound to quite rich stuff. Just as you know, it’s used as a light and refreshing garnish.
    You could add this to your leftover food. Most of all, it will do a trick in a nice way. If you’re one for not too strong leftover makeover, take a shot.
    • For a light version of gremolata base
    ▶️1 shallot chopped
    ▶️Chopped curly parsley
    ▶️1 tsp. dried mint

    Flaky Caramelized Spiced Pear Apple Puff Pastry with Pistachio Nuts, Edible Rose, Xylitol Based Walnut Syrup
    Served with Verbena Mint Tea
    La Pâte feuilletée rapide. Even though not the most popular approach to galette de rois, it would be better for a rather small particle of pastry. Extra crispy and flaky texture, less sensitive to moisture relatively. Easy and quick to make.
    The leanest puff pastry dough ever, simple egg wash, leftover streusel, frangipane and dried plums. The syrup was made with allulose, free from sugar alcohols. With rose and pistachio nuts, it did a great job. The last touch of that could likely remind you of Baklava, basically the other two things. Completely different type of stuff. It’s unlikely that phyllo dough and the pastry can be in lined with the pastry.
    As for the tea, that was great. My grandma’s favorite winter warming taste. A pairing of lemon and verbena mint is great for summer, absolutely right for winter too. This would be a nice idea to deal with winter sickness. Great for a recharging break with winter seasonal taste too. It will go well with the authentic galette des rois. You could take a shot.
